The new scooter model sports an aesthetic of sharp lines that impose aggressiveness, especially due to the shapes of the headlight assembly that groups in two blocks in the lower part of the front shield, leaving the handlebar blind, a set of four polielipsoidal optics illuminated by LED modules. high intensity, all with decoration in blue, red or silver with the colours of the Italian flag on its sides, and with countless details inspired by competition motorcycles such as the air inlet nozzles on the rear sides, the extensions of the front shield that mimics the fairings or the tapered keel at the bottom of the front wheel arch. The rear lighting uses a circular LED light guide pilot with the deepest interior and is dedicated to the brake light that creates a three-dimensional effect reminiscent of the exhaust outlet under the rear tail, which is imitated by the raised passenger seat.
The engine used for the Imola 125 is cooled by forced air with the contrast of using a four-valve cylinder head with double overhead camshaft DOHC typical of sports models with which a maximum power of 9 hp is achieved at 7,500 rpm and a torque of 9.1Nm at 6,000 rpm. The engine frees the right side of the rear wheel, imitating a single-sided swingarm, and uses a single oleopneumatic rear shock absorber with an independent gas bottle, while the front axle uses a 29mm fork. Both are 13-inch wheels shod with 120 / 60-13 and 130 / 60-13 low-profile sports tires and 220mm disc brakes with the 1-piston rear and 3-piston front calliper and CBS combined operation.
Regarding instrumentation, the FB Mondial Imola 125 has a set of three sports-style watches with the largest, in the centre, dedicated to the speedometer that also includes independent indicator lights, high beam and injection, on both sides of the speedo we have LCD screens: the one on the left groups the fuel level with the trip meter, while the one on the right shows a graphic voltmeter with the total odometer.
A great feature of the Imola is the fact that it has proximity smart key to activate the scooter without having to remove the key from your pocket, and facilitating its use in daily urban commutes. In addition, the key has three other functions: lock to close the steering turn, search by the horn to locate the vehicle in a busy parking lot, and the inductive key to activate the ignition control.
And of course, the Imola does not dispense with the characteristic features of scooters such as the hook on the leg rest to hang bags, centre and side stand, folding passenger footrests on a sports-style cast bracket and the low main cargo compartment. the seat with the capacity for a full-face helmet.
